Marriott has announced their latest promotion for February 1, 2015-April 30, 2015. 
Marriott has been using targeted bonuses lately which means my bonus may not be the same as yours. Mine was pretty lackluster, especially compared to the awesome IHG Promotion during the same time period.
From this thread on flyer talk these are the possible bonuses that are available:
Spring MegaBonus 2015 Options:
- Earn 3,000 points on every paid stay that includes a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday — up to 24,000 bonus points (maxes out after 9 stays over weekend day)
- Earn 3,000 points on every paid stay, starting with your second stay, up to 24,000 bonus points (maxes out after 9 stays)
- Earn 2,500 points on every paid stay, starting with your second stay, up to 25,000 bonus points (maxes out after 11 stays)
- Earn 2,000 points on every paid stay, starting with your second stay, up to 24,000 bonus points (maxes out after 13 stays)
- Earn 10,000 points after 10 paid nights plus 2,000 points with every additional night, up to 24,000 bonus points (maxes out after 17 nights)
- Earn 25,000 points after 20 paid nights plus 2,000 points after every additional night, up to 35,000 bonus points (maxes out after 25 nights)
- Earn 15,000 points after 15 paid nights plus 2,000 points with every additional night, up to 35,000 bonus points (maxes out after 25 nights)
- Earn 25,000 points after 15 paid nights plus 2,000 points after every additional night, up to 45,000 bonus points (maxes out after 25 nights)
- Earn 35,000 points after 20 paid nights plus 2,000 points after every additional night, up to 55,000 bonus points (maxes out after 30 nights)
But as they say, a bonus is a bonus, so go ahead and sign up now. Maybe after you meet the requirements of the IHG promotion then you can start on this promotion. Also maybe try this bonus if there isn’t a suitable IHG property wherever you are headed.
Free Wifi for Marriott Rewards Members
I am actually excited about this more than the megabonus promotion!
Starting January 11, all Marriott Rewards will be eligible for free wifi if they have booked on Marriott.com, through their mobile app, via 1-800 Marriott or through a Marriott hotel. This one has been a long time coming and I’m happy to see most hotel chains matching this. If you have gold or platinum status then you can get enhanced faster internet for free. So even if you aren’t worried about status you should sign up for a rewards account just for the free wifi!
