Get 15,000 Club Carlson points with any Park Inn booking!

Though December 31, 2015, Club Carlson has a great promotion available where you can earn 15,000 Gold points when you book one night at any Park Inn hotel in the Americas. You can view a list of the locations here, but I saw one in Orlando for just $69 a night that would qualify and could work if I go to Hollywood Horror Nights this year.

15,000 points is enough for almost two free nights at a Category 1 property (9K each night) such as this Radisson Blu in Egypt.So book one $69 hotel night and get two free nights at this awesome resort! What a deal!

1000 Bonus Starpoints with any weekend SPG stay for 3Q2015

Starwood Preferred Guest just announced a promotion from now until August 31, 2015 where you can get a bonus 1000 Starpoints whenever you have a stay that includes a weekend night (defined as Fri, Sat or Sun except in the middle east where it is Thu, Fri, and Sat). This promotion can be a sweet deal especially if you have a low cost one night weekend stay to boost your points earnings. To maximize it if you didn’t mind moving properties a bit, you could do three different SPG properties on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights and get 3000 extra Starpoints plus you get to see different properties too!

I recently used 10,000 Starpoints a night to score this room in Detroit during the Movement music festival. Paid rates were $379 a night which gave me a value of 3.79 cents per point! This promotion will get you 10% of a free room like this every time you use it which is pretty nice!

Free points are always welcome. We will see what the other chains come up with this quarter to find the best value and let you know our thoughts!

Sometimes they make earning points so easy! This is one of those times! Club Carlson (the loyalty program for Radisson plus some other chains) just sent me an email for a free 1000 points if I agreed before April 28 to take electronic statements via email and an electronic version of my membership card. Of course I will do that! Since I have Awardwallet, my membership cards are long thrown away anyhow and I hate junk mail so this is win-win! Uber Users! Get Free SPG Hotel Points for Every Ride!

Starwood Preferred Guest is one of my favorite hotel chains due to the beautiful properties and especially the great value I am able to get on point redemptions. I regularly get 4 cents or more per point on my hotel redemptions which is incredible so I am always after as many SPG points as I can get.

I have been a big fan of Uber and Lyft since they entered the Miami market. In you haven’t signed up yet, you should! And if you use the links in the previous sentence then we will both get an extra free ride since I am referring you. 🙂 Both services are cheaper and more comfortable than risking your life in a dirty taxi (especially Uber.)

When I saw that Uber had announced a partnership with SPG I was thrilled!

The base level is 1 Starpoint per dollar spent on Uber, but you can get bonus points during days where you have an SPG stay (including the check in and check out dates). The bonus amounts vary with your status level with SPG.

Uber SPG 3 I love all of these partnerships that the various hotels and airlines have come up with because it means extra points which are always welcome.

IHG Pointbreaks are back for 2/25/15 – 5/31/15

I have written many times in the past about the fabulous IHG Pointbreaks program. It is one of the best deals bar none in hotel redemptions at only 5,000 IHG points per night. Club Carlson: Extend your Stay, Earn 30K

This is another of our No Credit, No Problem series of posts that you can do with no special credit needed!

Club Carlson has announced their latest promotion and it’s pretty nice! Now through March 31, 2015, for each 2 night eligible stay you will get 15K bonus gold points and for each 3+ night stay you will get 30K bonus gold points. Most paid rates will count as eligible stays but some deeply discounted rates such as Friends and Family rates may not apply.You could consider this a 7.5K per night bonus for 2 night stays and 10K per night bonus for 3 night stays which is pretty awesome since for just 9000 points you can get a free night at a property like this Radisson Blu in El Quseir, Egypt.These bonus points are in addition to the 20 points per dollar you get for hotel spending and 10 more points per dollar if you have the Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa. Since this promotion can be earned multiple times, the optimal strategy would be to split up your stays into either 3 or 2 night reservations so you can get 60K bonus points from a 6 night stay instead of just 30K. Earn 50K+ IHG Points with the IHG Set Your Sights Promotion

I am a big IHG fan. From their awesome PointBreaks rooms for only 5,000 a night to their Big Win Promotions where I earned 132,000 and 101,000 points respectively, IHG keeps giving me so many points I can’t even use them all! I am going to complete the Into the Nights promotion as well before the end of the year and get 2 free nights at any IHG property in the world! IHG Pointbreaks are back for stays through 2/28/15!

IHG Pointbreaks are one of the best values in hotel awards at only 5,000 points a night. I love this program and was able to stay 15 nights free on my recent China trip using Pointbreaks rooms at amazing hotels like this Intercontinental in Hangzhou.

IHG just announced which hotels are on the latest list which will become bookable Monday, November 24 at around 8:30 AM EST. It isn’t a bad list and I picked a few of the properties to highlight here that looked nice to me. Any of these are available for just 5,000 points a night and if you want to know how to book them read this article we wrote about how to book an IHG Pointbreaks room. But act fast! The good properties such as the Intercontinental and Crowne Plaza hotels sell out of 5000 point rooms within a few hours usually. Double up on Hilton Points with the latest promotion!

This is another of our No Credit, No Problem series of posts that you can do with no special credit needed!

Hilton has released their latest promotion for the period of November 1, 2014 – February 28, 2014. Don’t think, just sign up now to double up on Hilton points then forget about it.As you can see this promotion is for double points starting with your second stay. This promotion pales in comparison to the other ones offered such as the Into the Nights IHG Promotion and the Club Carlson 3000 point Mobile Booking Bonus. But if you have stays planned at Hiltons then why not get double points! Since it is double points after the second stay, if you have a long stay planned (for example a week at a Hilton somewhere), it might make sense to do a quick one night stay somewhere before it so you get double points for the larger trip.
